How it works

From a sentence to finished work — without you holding it together.

You describe an outcome. Morchea turns it into a living plan, puts a colony of specialist minds on it, checks the work, and brings it back — keeping context and control the whole way through.

Step one · talk to it

It all starts as a conversation.

Talk to your Maestro one-on-one, or pull the whole colony into a single room like a group text. By keyboard or by voice — on the web, in a native macOS app, or straight from your terminal.

The cockpit — on the web, or a native macOS app

…or the whole colony, in your terminal

Talk to it, hands-free

Wake the orb and speak; it replies aloud and loops. Your voice is transcribed on-device — nothing leaves your machine.

SPFA

One mind, or the whole room

Pull up a single seat for a focused 1:1, or bring the colony into one room and chat with the real seats together.

Email — in front of you OneBulk

Never open your inbox

Pearl drafts and sends email from inside Morchea — one reply or a personalized batch — and works across your Mac apps. Email runs on a local model; it never leaves your Mac.

Step two · before a big build

Summon the Council.

For anything that matters, gather the minds before you start. You take a seat at the table and the specialists deliberate your plan in the open — so what you build, search, or ship begins from the best thinking, not the first idea.

You sit at the table

This isn't a black box voting in the dark. You convene the Council, set the question, and watch the deliberation unfold — then steer it.

No one anchors the room

Each mind weighs in in a deliberately random order, so the first voice never sets the answer for the rest. Independent judgment, not an echo.

Disagreement is kept, not flattened

When the minds differ, Morchea preserves the tension instead of averaging it away — you see the real trade-offs, and the reasoning on each side.

Informed before they speak

Hand the Council a document and they read it; a live research pass gathers the facts up front — so every mind deliberates from evidence, not assumption.

3 The weave

The conversation becomes a weave.

Once the plan is set, Morchea turns it into a weave — a living graph of the whole job. Not a static checklist: a plan that reshapes itself as the work learns.

4 Fibers

The weave splits into fibers.

The weave breaks into fibers — the individual tasks. Each fiber knows what it depends on, so independent work runs in parallel and nothing starts before it's ready.

5 Directives

Each seat gets its directive.

Every fiber is handed to the seat suited to it — research, engineering, writing, design — on the model that fits the task. That fiber is its directive: exactly what to do, with the context it needs.

6 Burn

The seats burn.

A seat at work is a burn: it researches, writes, builds, runs real tools. The seats share one context and hand off cleanly, so nothing falls through the gaps — and every burn is recorded as it happens.

7 Verify & approve

It checks itself before you see it.

A dedicated mind reviews the work against your intention. When something needs your call — a spend, a send, a publish — Morchea pauses for a quick sign-off. The rest, it just handles.

8 Fruit & harvest

Finished work, kept where you can find it.

Every fiber that finishes bears fruit — a deliverable you can actually use. It all collects in the Harvest: everything your weaves have made, with a record of how it was made and what it cost. And when the whole weave finishes clean, it leaves behind something more — a spore.

Step nine · it learns

A clean weave leaves a spore behind.

No one writes Morchea's skills. When a weave fruits cleanly, your Maestro distills what made it work into a spore — a reusable skill you'll find ripe in the Harvest, ready for the next time.

FruitA weave fruits in the loom — clean, verified, whole.

01

Born from a ripe weave

Only clean, fully-verified runs spore. A skill is earned by working — never hand-authored.

02

Distilled, not written

Your Maestro captures how the work decomposed, which minds ran it, and what made it pass — the recipe behind the result.

03

Ripe in the Harvest

Every spore is yours to keep. The next weave of that kind starts already knowing the way.

The Lions Mane Engine

It all runs on a Persistent Orchestration Engine.

Every step above runs on the Lions Mane Engine — our Persistent Orchestration Engine (POE): each action recorded as it happens, every result traceable to its source, and nothing that can stop the work from finishing.

It keeps the thread

State lives in a durable signal log, not a fragile context window. Close the tab, come back next week — the work is exactly where you left it.

It won't hand you broken work

Every result is checked against the goal. If it fails, the engine re-briefs and re-runs itself — bounded, never forever — and if it still can't get there, it pauses and tells you the truth instead of faking a result.

Every result carries its lineage

Provenance is built in: each step is signed to the mind that made it, the sources it drew on, and what it cost. Replay any run exactly, or fork it to explore another path.

You hold the controls

Set a budget and the approvals that matter. Morchea can't spend past your cap or act outside the lines you draw.

The Doctor a watchdog on the orchestrator himself

The never-fail chain keeps the seats alive. The Doctor keeps Auren alive — it watches every one of his turns with a deadline. If your Maestro ever hangs, times out, or crashes:

01 · detect

It catches the hang

Every Maestro turn runs against a deadline. A stuck or crashed turn is caught in seconds — never left to spin.

02 · revive

It brings him back

It kills the stuck turn and fails Auren over to a backup brain — cloud, then local — then retries.

03 · never silent

You're never left hanging

Instead of a dead screen, you get an honest "stalled — recovering…", and the work picks back up.

Governed autonomy

Three gates between you and the work.

Autonomy you can actually hand the keys to. Three deterministic gates — enforced by the engine, not by good intentions — plus one safety valve, so you can give it real money and real files.

Gate · admission

Write-safety

A weave that writes anything can only run in scratch or a Room you've approved. Anything out of bounds is refused before it ever touches disk.

scope · approved Room only
refused before persisted
Gate · ignition

Declared Tolls

A fiber that needs your call is marked with a Toll — and it pauses before the burn ignites. You approve or deny it right in the chat.

toll: approval
pauses before the burn
Gate · spend

Budget cap

Supervised, it asks before spending more. Autonomous, it hard-stops at your cap — with a safety margin, so an overnight run never blows past it.

hard stop · cap × (1 − margin)
honored overnight
Safety valve · drift

If the work wanders, it stops itself.

Your Maestro looks in on a cadence. If a run drifts off-goal, the weave halts and preserves the rest of the budget — so a wandering job can't quietly burn your money.

The determinism dividend

Three things a black-box agent can't do.

Because the Lions Mane Engine is a deterministic state machine over an append-only log, a finished weave isn't just an answer — it's a record you can replay, fork, and forecast from.

01 · replay

Lift it into a blueprint

Lift a finished weave back out of the log as a re-runnable plan — the same primitive behind a spore. The wisdom flows; your data stays sovereign.

replay · byte-identical
the Spore primitive
02 · fork + diff

Swap a seat, re-run, compare

Fork a weave with a different seat or prompt, run it again, and diff the fruits side by side. You're A/B-testing real workflows — not just the model.

cost_delta · + $0.07
03 · forecast

Know the cost before you commit

Estimate a plan's spend and critical-path time before a single burn — from each seat's own track record. Overnight runs respect the same number.
